Our programs are designed in accordance to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL): from Basic (A1/A2), across Independent (B1/B2) to Proficient (C1/C2).

Business language courses for professionals who need a foreign language for business purposes, including business correspondence, telephoning, meetings, presentations, negotiations, finance and accounting or business traveling.

General language courses for those who want to learn or improve a language in order to use it in everyday situations or during travels. We offer group classes at set times or individual classes at times agreed upon.

At Sekvoja Center you can take a preparation course for the TOLES exam, or go ahead and take the actual test after you have previously prepared for it through self-study. After successfully passing the exam, you will receive the internationally recognized diploma attesting to your knowledge of Legal English. Most importantly, the diploma does not have an expiration date.

We organize preparation courses for the following TOLES exams:

• TOLES FOUNDATION - pre-intermediate - intermediate level corresponds with A2 and B1 levels.
  Exam: Reading and writing for 90 min.
• TOLES HIGHER - intermediate - upper-intermediate level corresponds with B1 and B2 levels.
  Exam: Reading and writing for 90 min. Listening for 30-45 minutes.
• TOLES ADVANCED - advanced level corresponds with C1 and C2 levels.
  Exam: Reading and writing for 120 minutes.

In small groups of up to 6 students, you will prepare for the level of the exam that corresponds with your level of knowledge of legal English language. It is important to point out that you cannot fail the TOLES exam, but rather based on the results you are awarded with the diploma attesting to the level you have achieved.

Programs of learning through arts (LTA - Learning Through Art) encourage students to learn in a different way through discussion, exploration, acting and creativity. Taking part in the creative process, both children and grown-ups acquire planning and project management skills as well as develop their team-work and critical thinking abilities. Based on these facts, we have developed a series of special programs in Sekvoja centar for learning through art: English Through Art (ESL Through Art) in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, art workshops in English for grown-ups and children Create & Speak, as well as English workshops for moms and babies Mommy & Baby English Time.

Before you send out texts/documents to one of your clients, publish a webpage or print out a brochure, you may need an expert and timely translation. Our language professionals with years of experience in translation of every sort will ensure your texts are impeccably written, making certain that style, grammar and spelling are in perfect order and ready for the rest of the world!

Calculation and prices

Prices of written translations are calculated according to the language and number of pages (1 page = 1500 letters with spaces). Prices for English, French, Italian, German and Spanish translations:

• 1 page translation from Croatian to a foreign language = 120 kuna
• 1 page translation from a foreign language to Croatian = 90 kuna

(Both include free proofreading services)

• 1 page editing and proofreading of text in a foreign language = 70 kuna
• 1 page editing and proofreading of text in Croatian = 40 kuna

Notes:

Translations requested outside of regular working hours, during weekends or holidays as well as more than 8 pages of translation from a foreign language to Croatian per day i.e. more than 6 pages of translation to a foreign language from Croatian are regarded as urgent translations. Each translation that has to be finished the next day upon accepting the order is regarded as urgent, no matter how long. (The deadlines for translation do not include the day of acceptance and delivery of translation as well as weekends and holidays). The price for an urgent translation is up to 50% more than the regular, above mentioned prices.

Contracts, legal documents, regulations and standards are 30% higher than regular prices.

For larger amounts of text (more than 50 pages) discount may be granted.

Preparation of Presentations in Foreign Languages - English, German, Italian, Spanish, French*

This program encompasses all steps for the client to prepare and hold a successful presentation in a foreign language, whether it is a business related or an academic presentation. We offer our consulting services in all phases: from the planning stage, preparation of slides and materials, proofreading and live practice of your final presentation with feedback and corrections for public speaking.

Voice-over for radio advertising, film and television

Our seasoned professionals have worked in many areas of the modern Croatian media, doing voice acting for radio advertising, promotional videos, movies and television commercials for such well-known media names as Hrvatski Filmski Savez and Hrvatska Radio Televizija, as well as for private companies such as Kraš, 3LHD Architects and more. Prices are determined on a case-by-case basis.
